Air Quality Standard Permit for Air Quality Pollution Control Projects

Describes how a pollution control project will be permitted and helps you use the tools needed to get authorized.

The Air Quality Standard Permit for Pollution Control Projects is authorized under Title 30, Texas Administrative Code (30 TAC) Section 116.617, and is authorized under the Texas Health and Safety Code Section 382.05195, which authorizes the commission to issue this standard permit for many similar facilities.

If your facility meets the conditions of this standard permit, you should be able to answer "Yes" to each of these questions:

  • Is your facility currently authorized?
  • Will your project not include any new production facilities?
  • In the event that you are replacing existing control equipment, will the new equipment be at least as effective as the existing equipment?

If your facility complies with the criteria outlined above, you may claim this standard permit.
