Irrigation Technician Testing Procedures
Applications for the Irrigation Technician license may be obtained at the testing site or request an application to be mailed, by calling 512/239-6133. To be eligible to test you must have:- A completed, original application
- A copy of your certificate of completion of a TCEQ Approved Irrigation Technician Course.
- A check or money order made out to the TCEQ for $111.00.
- Testing locations for Irrigation Technician and Inspector licenses at the TCEQ Regional Offices.
- Testing for Irrigation Technician and Inspector licenses at TCEQ, Austin.

Irrigation Inspector Testing Procedures
Applications for the Irrigation Inspector license may be obtained at the testing site or request an application to be mailed, by calling 512/239-6133. To be eligible to test you must have:- A completed, original application
- A copy of your certificate of completion of a TCEQ Approved Irrigation Inspector Course or; a set of three course covering basic irrigation, backflow prevention, and water conservation or water auditing.
- A check or money order made out to the TCEQ for $111.00.
- Testing locations for Irrigation Technician and Inspector licenses at the TCEQ Regional Offices.

Landscape Irrigator Testing Procedures
Applications for the Landscape Irrigator exams may be obtained from the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). To request an application, call TEEX at 1-800-SAFE-811(800-723-3811).
Please note: You must send the following information to TEEX at least 14 days before taking an exam:
- A completed, original application
- A copy of your certificate of completion of a TCEQ-approved Basic Training Course
- Your license and exam fees (paid by credit card, money order, or cashier’s check)
