Outdoor Burning Brochure

Answers to Some Burning Questions-Do’s and Don’ts for Outdoor Burning at Your Residence

TCEQ developed a brochure on outdoor burning (GI-415) to help volunteer fire departments, code enforcement officers, and other entities communicate to Texas residents the basic do’s and don’ts when it comes to burning items outside.

The brochure addresses situations encountered primarily at private residences located in rural areas of the state where burning household trash is a common practice. It is printed in both English and Spanish.

If you would like copies of this brochure, please visit the TCEQ Publications Catalog Web page and select the "How to Order Printed Copies" link.
