Description: The collection events offer Texans the opportunity to dispose of banned and/or unwanted pesticides as well as other related agricultural items at no cost to them. The word "pesticide" includes all chemicals that are used to kill or control pests. Chemicals included are herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, nematocides, and rodenticides.
The following waste chemicals are eligible for collection during AWPC events:
Pesticides
Insecticides
Fungicides
Rodenticides
Nematicides
Bactericides
Growth regulators
Harvest aid chemicals
Pesticides used on livestock
Agricultural related items that are collected include paint, power steering fluid, oil, gasoline, oil filters, fluorescent bulbs, grease, lead-acid batteries, transmission fluid, brake fluid, diesel fuel, and other miscellaneous pesticides.Also, Properly rinsed, empty plastic pesticide containers will be accepted
